    B.Ed.: Eligibility

    The minimum eligibility criteria for B.Ed. admission 2018 are listed below:
    • Successful completion of graduation in any of Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (B. Sc.) or Bachelor in Commerce (B. Com.) from a recognized university
    • A minimum aggregate score of 50% in graduation
    • A minimum aggregate score of 55% at post-graduate level

    B.Ed.: Admission 2018

    Admission to B. Ed. is done through entrance exam conducted by various states and institutions. Generally, the exam is conducted in the month of May or June and forms for the same are available online at the websites of respective institutes. Admission of candidates is subject to Cut Offreleased by the respective university subsequent to the B.Ed. entrance exam. 

    B.Ed.: Distance Education

    The minimum duration for B. Ed. through distance education is two years, however, the maximum duration is five years. Admission to the distance mode program is merit-based. Candidates should have scored a minimum of 50% aggregate in the undergraduate program in any discipline and 55% in postgraduate program. Along with this, candidates should have trained in-service teachers in elementary education or they must have completed a NCTE recognized teacher education program through face-to-face mode. 

    B.Ed.: Selection Procedure 

    Selection Process for B.Ed
    Candidates are selected on the basis of their performance in the entrance exam. The selection process is usually conducted in the month of September every year. In order to take admission in the course, candidates must appear for the entrance exam. After the exam, B.Ed result 2018 is announced along with merit list by the university which allocates ranks to the aspirants according to their performance. Separate lists are issued for each category and stream followed by counseling process during which students are granted admission.

    B.Ed.: Syllabus and Course Description

    B.Ed syllabus is divided into various segments namely the Core courses, Pedagogy courses, Experience for Teacher Enrichment and Experience for Social and Environmental Sensitivity. The course is structured in a way such that all students acquire knowledge about all the aspects of teaching. At the same time, it also makes them aware of the situations one might encounter while teaching in schools.
