B.Ed. admissions have been started from UGC approved Government Universities in nominal fee structure.A Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) is a graduate professional degree which prepares students for work as a teacher in schools, though in some countries additional work must be done in order for the student to be fully qualified to teach.In India, Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) is an undergraduate course offered for those interested in pursuing a career in teaching. The B.Ed. degree is mandatory for teaching at the secondary (classes 6 to 10) and higher secondary (10+2 or classes 11 and 12). The minimum qualification required for entry into B.Ed. course is Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) or Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.). While students from the Arts stream are trained to teach subjects like History, Civics, Geography, and languages, the students from the Science stream are trained to teach Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. The duration of the course is two years from session 2015-16 as per NCTE Regulations, 2014. After B.Ed., students can pursue Master of Education (M.Ed.) in any Indian university or teacher-training institutes offering the course. The National Council for Teacher Education is the statutory body which regulating teacher training courses in the country of India.

The Right to Free and Compulsory Education for Children (RTE Act 2009) came into force from April 2010. The act emphasizes on quality education for every child. As such, with the view to bring about quality education in schools, it is required that the entry level percentage to B.Ed. be 50 for those candidates in the General Category and 45 for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.

The Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) programme is a four-year integrated professional degree programme offered after the higher secondary stage of school. B.El.Ed. is designed to integrate the study of subject knowledge, human development, pedagogical knowledge, and communication skills. Both professional and academic options are available to students who graduate with a B.El.Ed. degree.

Cut-off date for Civil Services Examination 2018

Cut-off date for Civil Services Examination decided, upper age limit fixed to 32: Centre

The Centre on Thursday stated that the upper age limit for Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2018 has been decided and rejected reports of unfair treatment being given to some candidates.

Speaking in Rajya Sabha, Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh said, ''The upper age limit as on 01.08.2018 for Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2018 is 32 years. This upper-age limit is relaxable for reserved category candidates.''

As per the guidelines issued by the Department of Personnel & Training (DoP&T) on crucial date for determining age limits for competitive examination conducted in parts by the UPSC/SSC vide OM No. AB.14017/70/87-Estt.(RR) dated 14th JULY, 1988, the cut-off date for Civil Services Examination is decided.

The Union Minister stated that the rule is equally applicable to all the candidates and, thus, there is no question of being unfair to some candidates.

Dr Singh, who is the Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) Development of North-Eastern Region (DoNER), MoS PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space, Dr Jitendra Singh, said this in a written reply to a question in Rajya Sabha.

CBSE CTET 2018: Online Registration to Start Today at ctet.nic.in. Apply Now

CBSE CTET 2018 online registration is likely to begin on August 1 (today). The Central Board of Secondary Education is expected to start the online application process for Central Teacher Eligibility Test, CTET 2018 at its official website ctet.nic.in.

The CBSE CTET 2018 was initially scheduled to begin on June 22 but got postponed due to some administrative reasons. The 11 edition of CBSE CTET 2018 is now scheduled to be conducted on September 16, 2018. Aspiring candidates must check for latest updates on CBSE CTET 2018 registration procedure at ctet.nic.in.

Both Paper I and II of CBSE CTET 2018 will be held on September 16th, 2018, but at different timings. Paper I is scheduled for 12 noon and Paper II at 2 pm.

Eligibility Criteria: 

Aspiring Students must check the eligibility criteria, as mentioned at ctet.nic.in, before signing up for CBSE CTET 2018 

- Candidates with 60% score or more in the CBSE CTET 2018 exam will be considered as TET pass. 
- Reserved category candidates (SC/ST/OBC/differently abled category) will enjoy a relaxation up to 5% in the qualifying marks in the minimum educational qualification. 

The CBSE CTET validity for qualifying certificate will be seven years from the date of declaration of its result.

HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar confirmed on twitter that the CBSE CTET 2018 examination shall be conducted in all 20 Indian languages as opposed to the previous directives to remove Tamil and 16 other languages from NET list of options.

The CBSE CTET 2018 registration fee of Paper I is Rs. 1000 for general candidates, but Rs 500 for reserved category and Paper II for Rs. 600 (Rs. 300 for reserved category.

Hotel-Managemnt or Hospitality management is the study of the hospitality industry. A degree in the subject may be awarded either by a university college dedicated to the studies of hospitality management or a business school with a relevant department. Degrees in hospitality management may also be referred to as hotel management, hotel and tourism management, or hotel administration. Degrees conferred in this academic field include BA, Bachelor of Business Administration, BS, BASc, MS, MBA, and PhD. Hospitality management covers hotels, restaurants, cruise ships, amusement parks, destination marketing organizations, convention centers, and country clubs.
In the USA, hospitality and tourism management curricula follow similar core subject applications to that of a business degree, but with a focus on tourism development and hospitality management. Core subject areas include accounting, administration, finance, information systems, marketing, human resource management, public relations, strategy, quantitative methods, and sectoral studies in the various areas of hospitality business.In 2016, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India started giving hospitality management students the option to choose only vegetarian cooking. This was introduced at three of the institutes (IHMCTAN Ahmedabad, IHMCTAN Bhopal and IHMCTAN Jaipur) affiliated with the Ministry. Earlier, similar to the curriculum pattern in most culinary institutes of the world, it was compulsory for all IHMCTAN students to learn non-vegetarian cooking. This decision to offer a vegetarian option by IHMCTANs may be the first amongst any of the hospitality training institutes of the world. It is expected that all IHMCTANs in India will start offering a vegetarian cooking option from academic year 2017 onwards.

 All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), which accredits MBA and Postgraduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) programs across India. Some of the leading bodies in India that certify MBA institutions and their programs are the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the University Grants Commission (UGC). A distance MBA program needs to be accredited by the Distance Education Council (DEC) ,the Masters in  Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree originated in the United States in the early 20th century when the country industrialized and companies sought scientific approaches to management.The core courses in an MBA program cover various areas of business such as accounting, applied statistics, business communication, business ethics, business law, finance, managerial economics, management, entrepreneurship, marketing and operations in a manner most relevant to management analysis and strategy.

Most programs also include elective courses and concentrations for further study in a particular area, for example accounting, finance, and marketing. MBA programs in the United States typically require completing about sixty credits, nearly twice the number of credits typically required for degrees that cover some of the same material such as the Master of Economics, Master of Finance, Master of Accountancy, Master of Science in Marketing and Master of Science in Management.

The MBA is a terminal degree and a professional degree.Accreditation bodies specifically for MBA programs ensure consistency and quality of education. Business schools in many countries offer programs tailored to full-time, part-time, executive (abridged coursework typically occurring on nights or weekends) and distance learning students, many with specialized concentrations.

The first school of business in the United States was The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania established in 1881 through a donation from Joseph Wharton . In 1900, the Tuck School of Business was founded at Dartmouth College conferring the first advanced degree in business, specifically, a Master of Science in Commerce, the predecessor to the MBA.

The Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration established the first MBA program in 1908, with 15 faculty members, 33 regular students and 47 special students. Its first-year curriculum was based on Frederick Winslow Taylor's scientific management. The number of MBA students at Harvard increased quickly, from 80 in 1908, over 300 in 1920, and 1,070 in 1930.At this time, only American universities offered MBAs. Other countries preferred that people learn business on the job.

Other milestones include:

• 1930: First management and leadership education program for executives and mid-career experienced managers (the Sloan Fellows Program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology).
• 1943: First Executive MBA (EMBA) program for working professionals at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Chicago was also the first business school to establish permanent campuses on three continents in Chicago (USA), Barcelona (Europe), and Singapore (Asia). Most business schools today offer a global component to their executive MBA. Since the program was established, the school has moved its campuses and is now based in Chicago, London, and Hong Kong.
• 1946: First MBA focused on global management at Thunderbird School of Global Management.
• 1950: First MBA outside of the United States, in Canada (Richard Ivey School of Business at The University of Western Ontario), followed by the University of Pretoria in South Africa in 1951.
• 1955: First MBA offered at an Asian school at the Institute of Business Administration Karachi at the University of Karachi in Pakistan, in collaboration with the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
• 1957: First MBA offered at a European school (INSEAD).
• 1963: First MBA offered in Korea by Korea University Business School (KUBS).
• 1986: First MBA program requiring every student to have a laptop computer in the classroom at the Roy E. Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College (Florida). Beginning with the 1992–1993 academic year, Columbia Business School required all incoming students to purchase a laptop computer with standard software, becoming the first business school to do so.
• 1994: First online executive MBA program at Athabasca University (Canada).

The MBA degree has been adopted by universities worldwide in both developed and developing countries.

There are many business schools and colleges in India offering two-year MBA or PGDM programs accredited by AICTE or UGC.

The Indian Institutes of Management are among the world's most selective schools according to Bloomberg magazine.^[61] They offer a post graduate degree in management. There are 20 IIMs in total, 12 of which were established after the year 2010.
